Kaiserstuhl is located on the shores of Lake Lungern and offers a stunning natural environment. Only two kilometers from the motorway A8, exit Giswil South and easily accessible from Lucerne or the Brünig Pass, the small idyllic village Bürglen OW is an ideal starting point to discover the highlights of Central Switzerland and the Bernese Oberland in summer and winter.

This has been the most memorable and beautiful AirBnB (and place in general) we have ever witnessed and stayed in (we stayed in a lot of apartments…) Jos went above and beyond for us; Just right after our booking he provided us with not only the necessary info about how to check-in, but with facts and tips all around the region - from where to go skiing (different options depending on the distance), to the best restaurants nearby (we visited some of them - Amazing food and drinks with all of them!) and much more.
The place is just breathtaking - what Jos did to this place is pure art and harmony (of course nature had its stake in it too, just look at the view!)
A Host who clearly has a passion for what he does because so far, he has been the best (hard to beat) and an apartment that has yet to find its challenger. A Magnum Opus indeed. Thank you Jos, for the best holiday of our lives (we both agreed on that)!

Die Unterkunft von Jos ist in allen Belangen superb. Die Wohnung ist wundervoll renoviert und kombiniert Tradition und Moderne vorzüglich. Die Einrichtung entspricht höchsten Standards und ist sehr bequem und gemütlich. Die Aussicht vom Balkon ist einfach grandios, besser geht es nicht, man staunt jeden Tag von neuem. Die Erreichbarkeit ist ebenso perfekt, ob mit Auto (privater Parkplatz direkt neben der Garage) oder mit dem Zug (Bahnhof ist 5 Gehminuten entfernt). Die Lage ist hervorragend als Ausgangspunkt zu vielen Sehenswürigkeiten in der Region geeignet. In Gehdistanz liegt zudem ein Hotel mit einem sehr guten Restaurant. Jos ist ein sehr herzlicher und zuvorkommender Gastgeber. Die Kommunikation war zu jederzeit super angenehm, unkompliziert und schnell. Alles in allem ein fantastisches Erlebnis, wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und können die Wohnung nicht genug empfehlen - ein aussordentliches Fundstück!

It is hard to determine which is more beautiful, the home itself or the surrounding nature. With the assumption you already have a sense of Switzerland’s immense beauty you will certainly find an equal experience in this space. The incredible view aside, everything is perfect. Every utensil, spice, device, gadget, anything you could need all neatly organized. Cozy couches, a large dining table, and a kitchen to cook every meal. The entire place felt brand new — as if it were prepared for the very first time just for you. And the view. The view is one that will forever be impressed on you over countless drinks and snacks on the balcony. There are absolutely no questions about this place - book immediately and enjoy an experience that is only written about in story books.

Abbiamo soggiornato a casa di Jos per 4 giorni: il soggiorno è stato fantastico. Jos è un host accogliente e gentilissimo, il migliore che si possa desiderare. La casa è perfetta, pulitissima, nuova, arredata con gusto e non manca nulla. Posizione ottima, zona tranquillissima. Consigliato a chi vuole trascorrere un periodo da sogno in una Svizzera splendida.

Es war unglaublich schön hier.
So atemberaubend wie auf den Bildern! Wir haben uns richtig wohl gefühlt in der Wohnung und waren echt begeistert. Alles sehr schön eingerichtet und super sauber. Auch echt klasse, dass so viel zur Verfügung gestellt wird. Man muss kaum etwas mitbringen. Der Aufenthalt hat uns so gut gefallen, dass wir auf jeden Fall nochmal kommen müssen!

Jos‘ Unterkunft ist einfach wundervoll.
Einer der seltenen Fälle in denen die Realität noch besser ist als die Fotos es vorher versprechen. Das Apartment ist mit einer großen Liebe fürs Detail eingerichtet und schlägt eine tolle Balance zwischen gemütlich, rustikal und modern. Der Ausblick auf den See ist traumhaft, die hohen Berge runden alles ab. Bei Jos mangelt es einem an nichts, er ist ein sehr freundlicher und kommunikativer Gastgeber. 6/5 Sterne, sehr gerne wieder!

Haben uns von der ersten Minute rundherum wohl gefühlt.
Der Blick von der kleineren Trasse auf See und Berge unbezahlbar. Jos ist ein sehr angenehmer Gastgeber!! Besonders gut hat uns gefallen, dass man von der Unterkunft aus, viele sportliche Aktivitäten (MTB) starten kann bzw. überschaubare Anreisezeiten (Klettersteige) hat. Wir kommen bestimmt mal wieder

We had the most wonderful stay!
This place couldn't be anymore perfect. The apartment looks exactly like the photographs and the view is even more stunning! The apartment is the perfect location for those who wish to venture into the mountains for day trips or into the main cities. There is everything you need in the apartment and is walking distance to a beautiful restaurant with fantastic food. The lake is beautiful and worth taking a tip in if its Summer - very refreshing :) Jos is a fantastic host and very helpful with check in, restaurant and day trips.

Prepare to be blown away!
This place is amazing, I have stayed in many places and travelled around the world, and this is one of my favourites. The view is even better than the picture and the apartment is so high quality! Perfect for a couple really! Jos is a wonderful host, very accommodating and responds very quickly. Location is about 25 minutes drive from lucerne. But to be honest I think it's nicer staying in a place like this rather than a busy city! You get to wake up to absolute tranquility and beauty and take in what Switzerland really has to offer!

We had a wonderful stay
at Jos' apartment! We think it might be the nicest AirBnb we have stayed in and we have stayed in many. The view was incredible and it looks just like ( if not better) than the pictures. I particularly loved that the kitchen was so well stocked. I cooked many great meals without any problems. He has the drawers labeled so and it made navigating the apartment easy. Jos was accessible and responsive to every need we had. We hope that we will be able to come and stay when the weather is warmer so we can be outside more the surroundings are amazing. This was a warm, beautiful and comfortable respite for us. We highly recommend it.

Our stay in burglen was outstanding!
Jos was very welcoming and was always there to answer any questions we had about our stay. The apartment was very neat and very comfy. Location was awesome near a train station, also a car is recommend. The parking on site is outside the door which is perfect. The unit has all basic necessities and more. The restaurant on the corner ( 150m away ) is also very nice local food, the menu changes daily! The view from the balcony is impeccable. I would highly recommend this place for any person wanting a relaxing getaway in Switzerland, can't wait to visit again Thanks Jos.

Perfect postcard view
Waking up to a perfect postcard view was awesome enough, but staying in such a well appointed apartment to boot was fantastic. Super comfortable, good kitchen and great little balcony. We didn't meet Jos but he touched base with us at just the right times, gave us excellent information and answered our questions promptly. We would highly recommend this one and we will certainly be booking again with Jos when next we visit Switzerland!

Nuestra estancia en la casa de Jos ha sido genial, todo era y estaba como en las fotos, la limpieza era excepcional, el entorno es muy bonito, lo mires por donde lo mires porque la casa tiene vistas hacia los cuatro puntos cardinales. Toda la comunicación con Jos fué a traves de mensajes, muy concisa y clara, sus tiempos de respuesta han sido muy rápidos. El diseño y la calidez de la casa eran impresionantes, por las tardes nos apetecia mucho volver a la casa para disfrutar de ella. En definitiva, la recomendamos enormemente y sin duda volveriamos.
